Dr. Neal A. Spero, Medical Director

Dr. Neal A. Spero is a board-certified dermatologist, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. His practice specialties are Cosmetic Dermatology and General Dermatology procedures. Dr. Spero has extensive experience and specialized training in the use of many different types of lasers, studying under the esteemed Dr. S.J. Zakon—the first historian of the AAD and the namesake of the Samuel J. Zakon Award for the History of Dermatology Society annual meeting. Dr. Spero also has a long history serving as a consultant to various laser equipment manufacturers and is very active in the development of protocols and settings for photorejuvenation and facial vein treatment procedures.

Dr. Spero graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School in 1961 and completed his Dermatology residency at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., in 1965. Dr. Spero is a well trained, personable dermatologist with a good bed-side manner, offering an array of General and Cosmetic Dermatology services to his patients.

 
Dr. Valeria Fugali, MD, Cosmetic Injection Specialist
Dr. Valeria Fugali is board certified physician with over 25 years of medical practice experience who has been practicing exclusively Cosmetic Medicine for over 5 years. Her main interests are in facial and body rejuvenation through non-surgical intervention. She is very experienced in Botox and dermal fillers, such as Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, and Radiesse. She has been treating patients with the Fraxel laser since its introduction in Fall of 2004 and lectured nationally for Reliant technologies in the use of this laser.
 
Dr. Fugali attended The Chicago Medical School and did her postgraduate training at McGaw medical Center of Loyola University. Prior to joining New Horizons Center medical staff, she has been on staff of the Rush-Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital health care system for over 20 years.
 
Born in Rome, Italy, Dr. Fugali speaks fluent Italian.

Dr. Elizabeth T. Clark, Vascular Surgeon
 
Leg vein treatments are performed by Elizabeth T. Clark, M.D. She is the chief of vascular surgery at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago, as well as a clinical associate of the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinic. Her compassion for patients, wealth of expertise and her solid reputation as a surgeon make Dr. Clark one of the top names in her field.

Dr. Clark is licensed by the state of Illinois, and has diplomat certification by the American Board of Surgery and special certification in peripheral vascular surgery. Dr. Clark is well regarded in her field, and has been published in more than 50 journals, abstracts and presentations, including most recently a publication in The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).

 
Dr. Dominic Gaziano, Internal Medicine

Dr. Gaziano is a practicing Integrative Internal Medicine Doctor. He completed his Internal Medicine training at University of Cincinnati and Internal Medicine research fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. He has been appointed to serve on the Chicago Fitness Council, Mayor Daley's health and fitness task force. He served as the past Integrative Medicine director at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital and continues to deliver integrative and holistic medicine grand round lectures at Illinois Masonic Hospital and other surrounding hospitals.

In 2003, Dr. Gaziano created and launched nationally a half-hour television magazine show that gives tips for healthy living, Health and Lifestyles Weekly. In 2007, Dr. Gaziano published a 160-page guide to living healthy all year long, Feel Good Health. Dr. Gaziano is a regular wellness and stress management lecturer to the community and has made numerous television appearances as a medical expert on health.
He practices fitness himself and enjoys tennis, triathlons, and is an avid runner. Dr. Gaziano comes from a long line of doctors; his father is a practicing pulmonologist, and three of his four brothers have taken the Hippocratic Oath.
 

Kristie K. Bonner, PA-C, Clinical Director, Dermatology

Kristie Bonner, PA-C, is a board certified Physician Assistant who graduated from The University of Detroit-Mercy in 2005 with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies, and began her career in the suburbs of Detroit, MI.  She received her Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  After relocating to Chicago, she joined Tiffani Kim Institute in 2007.  She currently belongs to the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants (IAPA), the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), as well as the Ilinois Society of Dermatological Physician Assisants (ISDPA).

Kristie enjoys working at the Tiffani Kim Institute because she feels that it is important to educate patients about their specific skin conditions as well as offer them safe customized treatments.  She strives to stay at the forefront of the advancements and developments in the field of dermatology, and to integrate them into her practice.
 
Jeanie Lee Bussell, MSOM, LAc - Director of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
 

Jeanie began her professional life in science by earning degrees in biology and allied health sciences, and worked for more than 10 years in Western healthcare settings before entering Oriental Medical School. She attended the Midwest college of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, earning her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM), magna cum laude. In addition, Jeanie completed an advanced course of study and clinical internship at Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She is nationally board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology and is licensed in state of Illinois. She is also a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the Illinois State Acupuncture Association.

Jeanie is one of the top fertility acupuncturists in the Midwest and has helped thousands of couples conceive. Her work with fertility and women's health has been featured on Fox News in the Morning and the CBS evening news with Dan Rather. Jeanie also has traveled around the country to study with leaders in the field of Fertility and Oriental Medicine, including interning with Dr. Randine Lewis, the author of The Infertility Cure; and studying with top holistic nutrition expert Paul Pitchford, the author of Healing with Whole Foods. She regularly gives seminars to the general public and to other acupuncturists about how to use Oriental medicine to address women’s health. Here at Tiffani Kim Institute, Jeanie is proud to offer her services to treat not only fertility, but also all aspects of women’s care.

 Jason Bussell, MSOM, LAc

Jason Bussell is the President of the Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He earned his Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, where he studied acupuncture and herbology in addition to Western medical science. He also completed an advanced course of training and a clinical internship at the Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and their affiliated hospitals in China. Jason's practice focuses on the use of acupuncture in comprehensive cancer care; but he also sees pediatrics, orthopedics, and many other types of conditions as well. He has been a featured speaker for many groups including: Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, Evanston-Northwestern Healthcare's Symposium on Radiation Oncology, The Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Cancer Wellness Center, nurses, physical therapists, dentists, women's groups, men's groups, corporations, and more. His writings have been featured in professional publications for acupuncturists and Western health care providers.

Carol A. Donohue, RN, BS - Cosmetic Injection Specialist
 
Carol Donohue is a cosmetic injection specialist, whose skills are exceptional, due both to her extensive experience and natural talent for this kind of work. Her advanced aesthetics training and knowledge of Botox® and Restylane® allows Carol the perspective as both the client and the provider. She takes special pride in high client satisfaction, and strongly believes in assessing/ teaching each client about preventative care. Carol will customize your treatment with as little downtime as possible.
 
Carol currently works as a consultant and trainer for physicians that want to integrate Botox®, Restylane®, Juvederm™, IPL, and Laser into their practices.
 
 
 

Caroline Jung, MSOM, L.Ac

After graduating from the University of Memphis with an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Caroline moved to Chicago to attend the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. There, she received her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. Additionally, Caroline has trained with some of the most prominent teachers in field of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, including Dr. Richard Tan, and renowned Chinese Medicine women's health specialist, Giovanni Maciocia. Caroline has a special emphasis on treatments of women's health, infertility, men's health, digestive disorders, and pain management. Caroline is a nationally board certified acupuncturist and is licensed by the state of Illinois. She is also a professional member of both the Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Before joining theTiffani Kim Institute, Caroline practiced for several years at locations around Chicago, including Children's Memorial Hospital. She presents lectures and workshops on various topics to a wide variety of audiences, and her writings have been featured in both local and national publications for Western health care providers. She is a contributing author of the book "Fit Nurse: Your Total Plan for Getting Fit and Living Well". She is also a certified yoga teacher and has been practicing yoga for over 10 years.Caroline strongly believes in educating her patients, so that they may take charge of their own health and wellness beyond treatment rooms.
