Who is a candidate?
People who have acne, hyper pigmentation and who want to improve over all skin tone and texture.

Who is not a candidate?
  • People who are pregnant or are trying to conceive
  • People on accutane
  • People who have or have had skin cancer
How many times do I need to be treated?
Treatment may be from once a week to once a month

How long does the treatment take?
The actual treatment takes about 15 min.

Does it hurt?
There is a slight stinging sensation at first but then the sensation subsides

Is there any downtime?

Everyone reacts differently. You may be a little pink right afterwards.  A few days later there maybe some peeling.  Make up may be applied afterwards

What do I need to avoid before and after?
  • Sun must be avoided -- Due to the fact that we are trying to eliminate the damaged caused by the sun, exposing oneself to it will cause the results to reverse; therefore making the treatment not as effective
  • Retin-A products -- These products are resurfacing agents that thin the skin and may cause burns if used during treatment

What are the end results?
Smoother, healthier more even skin tone

What are the types of products that should be used after treatment?
  • Sunscreen with zinc oxide such as Skin Medica’s Daily 20 or TKL Tinted SPF.
  • Keep the skin hydrated with TKL Hydrating Gel or M.D.Forte’s Replenishing Hydrating Cream
  • Skin Medica’s TNS Recovery Complex will help heal and enhance the treated area.
Things to consider after treatment:
Even though there is little downtime after the treatment, you may want to bring along a few items, such as:
  • Make up
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat
